Restrictions

We are all proud of the park facilities in our community. Please help us continue to provide a quality facility by respecting the following restrictions.

Video Surveillance is in Place Throughout the Park

Veterans Park 

  • No smoking or any tobacco products allowed except in designated area(s)
  • No Off-Road Vehicles such as four wheelers, dirt bikes, dune buggies, golf carts, etc. allowed on park property
  • No dogs or pets of any kind on park property
  • No dump trucks, 18 wheelers, and other heavy equipment allowed on the park roadway or parking lots without prior recreation district approval
  • No bicycles, skates, roller blades, scooters, etc. allowed on walking trail, sidewalks and under covered area and steps of any building
  • No beer or other alcoholic beverage allowed on park property without prior recreation district approval
  • No vulgar or obscene language of any kind allowed at any time
  • No fighting allowed on park property
  • No eating or drinking of anything (except water) inside the playground area
  • No glass containers allowed on park property
  • The Parish Noise Ordinance must be obeyed at all times
  • Speed Limit is 10 MPH. Through traffic is prohibited

Baseball Fields

  • No pregame warm up on the infield area
  • No hitting or throwing balls against any fencing at any time
  • No climbing or jumping over any fencing at any time
  • Foul balls are to be returned to the scorekeeper from the field in which they came from
  • All participants are expected to display good sportsmanship
  • No smoking or any tobacco products allowed except in designated areas
  • No one is allowed on any field at any time other than the players and coaches
  • The use of foul language and harassment of any kind is strictly prohibited
  • Dugouts must be cleaned after each game
  • Team coaches are required to rake the field dirt after every game

Tennis Courts

  • Courts are to be used for tennis only
  • No bikes, scooters or roller blades
  • Proper tennis shoes must be worn at all times on courts
  • No cleats or raised heeled shoes
  • No glass allowed on courts
  • Playing time limited to one hour if players are waiting
  • Players must wait their turn in person. Lone players may not use the court while others are waiting
  • Players may not play two (2) consecutive time periods if waiting players wish to use the court
  • Foul language or excessive noise is not permitted don the courts
  • Court rules apply to all tennis players regardless of age or playing ability
